Nandi Hills is a small hill about 60kms from Bangalore. It is one of the easiest places to get to from Bangalore on a lazy weekend. As a result, there is always a huge crowd there on the weekends. With family in town, we decided that we might as well go to Nandi Hills so that we can tick it off our “to-do” list.
We left, bright and early and got onto the outer ring road, heading straight for the new airport road. We hopped onto the super fast airport road and before we knew it, we had passed the airport and were approaching Nandi Hills. The road signage is not very good once you turn off the highway towards Nandi Hills. Having been there before as a child, I remembered the route.
We drove straight up and parked at the top, from where one can start walking on foot. We walked around, taking in the sights, clicking out photographs. We went at a time, when we could catch the sunset from Nandi Hills. After a tiring hour or so of walking, we headed back to the car, had some coconut water and went back home.
Nandi Hills - tick
